Name of the project: Virbit
Background and project objective: Students with dyslexia often find it hard to adapt in a typical school environment since it does not always accommodate some of their special needs. This can lead to a variety of issues, which can in the long term affect their learning experience. Students with dyslexia struggle to learn effectively and conveniently due to their symptoms. Therefore, the objective would be to design a user friendly and an unique approach to enhance their learning experience through a technology solution for an interactive + immersive + personalised experience.
My solution: Virbit. It is an educational Virtual Reality (VR) app that makes learning easy and engaging for students with dyslexia. Virbit helps them to study and learn various topics and concepts through a personalised and immersive experience. During the VR experience, students are being placed directly into the VR environment that the topic or concept they are studying is about. They can interact with the environment and learn better through visualising ideas. Below is a product showreel that demonstrates how my solution works.
Challenges: One challenge I faced during the project was doing the voiceover for the video since I had to record multiple times to get the right tone and feel that I wanted to convey for this complex subject.
